Have you ever wanted to learn to design your own web pages? Are you looking for ways to better market your small business? Thinking about a new career?
Johnson County Public Library has an exciting opportunity for you to learn a new skill, extend your knowledge, or learn a new hobby. It's called Gale Courses.
Here's how it works: sign up anytime for any one of the hundreds of courses available in subjects like Computer Applications, Writing and Publishing, and Personal Development. Courses begin on the third Wednesday of every month and run for six weeks. You'll get access to two lessons every week, and you'll earn a printable Certificate of Completion at the end of the course, provided you pass the final exam.
Gale Courses are highly interactive and are led by real people who are experts in their field. Instructors are available to answer questions, and you can get to know the other students in the online discussion forums.
There are no set class times - you can log in, complete your readings and assignments, and take the quizzes 24/7, anywhere you have access to the Internet.
And yes, Gale Courses are completely free for our patrons. Our patrons are raving about this service, so sign up today and find out for yourself. Class sessions begin the 3rd Wednesday of the month. Visit http://www.pageafterpage.org/galecourses to find out more and enroll in your first course.
