Talk to a Librarian

Talk to a Librarian

Did you just hear about a great new book on TV and want to know if you can get it from the library?

Are you starting a research project and want to know where to begin looking for information?

Of course you can call, email or come visit the friendly librarians at Johnson County Public Library. But now it's easier than ever to get personal reference assistance from JCPL staff, no matter where you are.

We're excited to announce the launch of our brand new virtual reference service. You can chat live with a librarian any time during our normal hours of operation by clicking the "Talk to a Librarian" button at the top of any page on our website. Library staff can help you locate materials, access library services and much more.

You can also interact with us via text message - send your messages to 317-900-4LIB (4542). Standard messaging rates apply, so check with your carrier's service plan for details.

If you need more in-depth help, don't forget about our popular Book-a-Librarian service. You can book up to an hour of uninterrupted, one-on-one help with a reference librarian. Click here for more information or to schedule your appointment.
