Now that you have your very own library card, it's time to discover some of the fun, free things you can do with it!

Check out books, movies and music - your Johnson County Public Library card is your passport to thousands of free books, DVDs and CDs you can check out and take home to enjoy! Are you into Minecraft? We've got books that will help you build your greatest creations yet. Love Frozen? We've got the movie and the soundtrack album, so you can enjoy the songs again and again. Check out and download eBooks and eAudiobooks - Your library card gives you free access to our collections of downloadable books and audio. Amazing Robots - Franklin Branch - Saturday, September 20 - 1:00 to 3:00 pm (drop-in)

Come see the fabulous inventions of Red Alert 1741, the award-winning Robotics Team from Center Grove High School. These talented students will be demonstrating their high-tech know-how all afternoon, so stop by and marvel at their creations.

LEGO Club - White River Branch - Tuesday, October 28 - 4:30 to 5:20 pm (sign-up required)
LEGO Club: Boo! - Trafalgar Branch - Wednesday, October 29 - 6:30 to 7:30 pm (drop-in)

Come to LEGO Club every month and use the library's LEGO bricks to make your own fabulous creations. They may be displayed in the library or online!

 

Star Wars Reads Day - Clark Pleasant Branch - Saturday, October 11 - 2:00 to 3:30 pm (sign-up required)

Celebrate your favorite Star Wars books at the Library! Get your picture taken with a stormtrooper, test your knowledge with a trivia challenge, and make a pop-up card.

 

Snakes Alive and Creepy Critters! - Monday, October 20 - Clark Pleasant Branch, 2:00 to 4:00 pm OR Trafalgar Branch, 6:00 to 7:00 pm.

Join us to welcome Snakehead Ed and his Serpent Safari. This hour-long program will feature snakes from Africa, Asia, Australia, and South and North America. You’ll meet mid-size snakes as well as big, beautiful pythons and boas, and you’ll find that the truth about snakes is even more fascinating than their myths! This program is free and suitable for the whole family.
