Job Title: Circulation Assistant II, Trafalgar Branch

The Johnson County Public Library has an available opening in the Circulation Department. This high visibility public service position will perform all circulation duties associated with checking in and checking out library materials, collecting fines and fees, registering library cards, sorting and shelving materials. Additional responsibilities include assisting patrons with computers and copiers, answering telephone inquiries, directing calls, and assisting with other tasks throughout the library.

Job Requirements:

Qualified candidates will have excellent customer service skills, an aptitude for detail and accuracy, and computer knowledge and experience. Additional requirements include a minimum of two years customer service experience and a High School Diploma or equivalency. This is a 20 hour per week position with the following schedule:

Monday & Tuesday: 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Wednesday: 12 p.m.-4 p.m.
Thursday: 4 p.m.-8 p.m.
Friday: 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. or 2 p.m.-6 p.m. (varies)
Every fourth Saturday (8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.) and the occasional Sunday(12:30 p.m.-5 p.m.)

Job Benefits:

The starting salary is $9.03 per hour and paid vacation, sick time, personal business time & holidays.
