Memorial and Honorary Tributes
Donations to the Johnson County Public Library Foundation in honor or memory of someone special or to mark a significant event will be used to dedicate books or support the library’s literary initiatives.
Celebrate, Remember, Rejoice
Honor someone special in your life or someone who has done something special for you. Tribute gifts are a wonderful way to recognize someone special or acknowledge a noteworthy event, as well as help JCPL buy more books or support library programs. Tribute book donations are recognized with a bookplate; to serve as a lasting reminder of your thoughtfulness. An acknowledgement letter will be sent to the recipient or recipient’s family to inform them of your generous gift.
One-Time Book Tributes
With one-time tributes, for every $25 donated, one inscribed bookplate of the person being honored, and if desired, the name of the donor is placed in a newly purchased book at the Library.
Book Club Sponsorships
JCPL will purchase multiple copies of a title for a book club program for your gift of $150. The books will receive a special bookplate acknowledging the extraordinary effort you made in honoring a friend, relative or special event. Library staff will select the title based on popular book discussion topics and they will be available for the eight different book clubs that are held at JCPL each month.
Support Literary Initiatives
Any level of donation may be made in honor of a loved one or special event to support JCPL literary initiatives. Programs like 1000 Books Before Kindergarten, Authors at JCPL, and the Summer Learning Program are a few of the initiatives your donation would support.
