White River Branch Project Plans
The Johnson County Public Library will hold preliminary determination public meetings to accept public input on the plans to issue bonds to fund the renovation of the White River Branch Library. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Pursuant to Indiana Code § 6-1.1-20-3.1, notice is hereby given that the Board of Trustees (the "Board") of the Johnson County Public Library will meet at 6:00 p.m. on September 22, 2026 at the Johnson County Public Library – Clark Pleasant Branch, 350 Clearwater Blvd., Whiteland, Indiana and at 5:00 p.m. on October 20, 2026, at the Johnson County Public Library Services Center, 49 E. Main St., Franklin, Indiana to hold public hearings. On September 22, 2026, the Board will hold a public hearing to discuss and hear objections and support regarding the proposed total renovation and moderate expansion of the White River Branch, including site improvements and the purchase of equipment and technology (the "Project"). On October 20, 2026, the Board will hold a second public hearing to discuss and hear objections and support regarding the proposed Project and will also consider the adoption of a resolution making a preliminary determination to issue bonds to finance the Project. You are invited to attend and participate in the public hearings.
