Suicide Prevention is everyone's business.
If a friend or family member is showing signs of suicide, do you know what to do? Join us at one of our QPR Trainings in partnership with the Suicide Prevention Coalition of Johnson County to learn what you can do to help.
By participating in QPR Gatekeeper training, you will learn about:
- Early Recognition of suicide | The sooner warning signs are detected and help sought, the better the outcome of a suicidal crisis will be.
- Early QPR | Asking someone about the presence of suicidal thoughts and feelings opens up a conversation that may lead to a referral for help.
- Early intervention and referral | Referral to local resources or calling for evaluation and possible referral is critical.
*Registration is required.*
This event is for adults and teens. If you have a teen under the age of 18, we ask that a parent or guardian complete their registration and sit in on the training with them as well.
