Al’s Pals is an early childhood program that develops social-emotional skills and healthy decision-making in children 3 to 8 years old. Children learn to:

  • Express feelings
  • Use kind words
  • Use self-control
  • Think flexibly
  • Accept differences
  • Solve problems peacefully
  • Cope in positive ways
  • Make safe and healthy choices
  • Understand that tobacco, alcohol, and illegal drugs are not for children

Upstream Prevention Johnson County has partnered with JCPL to bring the programs to you. When you sign up for Al’s Pals, you will receive a weekly email with videos of the programs led by a JCPL librarian. Your kids will enjoy the music, puppets and the way Al’s Pals makes learning fun.
