UPDATED 4/8: The Clark Pleasant Branch reopened on Saturday, April 8 at 9 a.m. Internet and wi-fi access are currently working.

How long will the Clark Pleasant Branch be closed?

The work will require the Branch to close for several days to allow enough time to repair the damage and ensure the building is safe. Our priority is to get the branch open as soon as possible! 

What if I need to contact the Clark Pleasant Branch?

You can continue to call the main line at 317-535-6206. While we’re closed, phone calls will be transferred to another branch where staff members will answer any questions you might have.

Can I return materials while the Clark Pleasant Branch is closed?

Please hold on to your materials until the building re-opens or you can return materials at any other JCPL Branch. Please do not use the book drop. Out of precaution, please stay off the property until we reopen. 

Can I place a hold on an item that is on the shelf at the Clark Pleasant Branch?

If there are multiple copies of the requested item at other JCPL Branches, your holds will be fulfilled while the Clark Pleasant Branch is closed. You may continue to place holds on items that are only at the Clark Pleasant Branch, but those holds will remain unfulfilled until the Branch reopens. Thank you for your patience during this process!

Will I be able to pick up my available hold(s)?

JCPL staff will contact patrons with two options for holds: we can transfer your hold(s) to an alternate Branch, or we can suspend your hold(s) to be picked up at the Clark Pleasant Branch after it reopens.
