Job Title: Marketing and Outreach Assistant

Job Requirements:
An exciting opportunity exists for an energetic, enthusiastic, self-motivating individual to join JCPL’s Marketing Department in promoting Library’s services, programs, resources and events. The selected candidate will coordinate the library’s participation in system-wide events such as fairs, festivals, and back-to-school nights, including preparing and organizing materials for these large community engagements. In addition, this role also involves managing the production and inventory of all physical marketing materials across JCPL’s five locations. Additionally, the successful candidate will assist the weekly operation of JCPL on Wheels, supporting the library’s mobile outreach services.
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and 2 years’ college or public library experience. Experience working with young children is desirable. Additional requirements include excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency with Microsoft software and comfortable driving a small cargo van and working independently. This full-time vacancy requires some evening and weekend hours.
Job Benefits:
A starting salary of $16.80 per hour and an excellent employee benefit package will be offered to the selected candidate.
